Technical reproduction of original documents as analogue and/or digital copies is a logical step in addition to conservation. Doing this additionally protects informational content and makes documents more readily available to users, while reducing contact with valuable originals.

GSK Machinery provides innovative solutions for microfilming and digitising which can be integrated into an efficient workflow in the conservation treatment process. In cooperation with the world’s leading manufacturer of high-speed scanners, BancTec, we have developed an exclusive cutting-edge scanning technique which sets new standards both in gentle paper handling and also in the optical results achieved:

The PAS (Professional Archive Scan) process is unique worldwide and employs incident light digitisation with the most up-to-date scanner head technology and intelligent data management.
